In the dream, I found myself running through a forest, frantically chasing after my ex-boyfriend. I could see him up ahead, his figure disappearing through the trees as I struggled to keep up. I could feel a sense of desperation and determination fueling my legs as I pushed myself harder and harder.
I remembered our past relationship, the ups and downs, the good times and the bad. But in this moment, I couldn't think of anything else except catching up to him. I knew I needed to talk to him, to confront him about something that had been bothering me.
As I finally caught up to him, I could see him standing by a beautiful lake, his back turned to me. I called out to him, but he didn't turn around. I called out again, my voice shaking with emotions, but he still didn't respond.
Feeling frustrated and defeated, I walked closer to him. That's when I noticed that he was holding onto a string of colorful paper cranes, the same ones that I used to make for him during our relationship. I realized that he must have kept them as a reminder of our time together.
As I reached out to touch him, he turned around and looked straight into my eyes. I could see the pain and regret in his expression, and suddenly all of the anger and hurt I had been feeling melted away. I opened my mouth to speak, to tell him all of the things I couldn't say when we were together.
But before I could say anything, he disappeared into thin air, along with the paper cranes. I was left standing alone by the lake, feeling a sense of peace and closure. I understood in that moment that it was time for me to let go of the past and move on from him.
When I woke up, I felt a sense of relief and clarity. The dream had shown me that although I may still have unresolved feelings for my ex-boyfriend, it was time for me to let go and focus on my own happiness. The chase symbolized my desire to confront him and find closure, while the disappearing and the presence of the paper cranes represented the closure and healing I needed in order to finally move on.
